National Seminar on Themed: RECP Encourages Indonesian Textile and Garment Industry in Achieving TPB / SDGs 12 take place at Harris Hotel & Convention Solo Indonesia on February 5, 2020.

This seminar aims to enable and encourage the exchange of ideas, input among business people in the textile and garment industry through in-depth discussions on best practices to promote sustainable textile and garment industry, and facilitate the exchange of experiences and solutions among stakeholders in the textile industry and garments, government, associations, and business actors in the application of RECP for the textile and garment industry that is sustainable in facilitating the collection and support of the replication of RECP practices in the industry.

Whereas, it is hoped that besides being able to increase awareness of RECP, it can also convince participants in the textile and garment industry over the application of RECP.

The National Seminar was attended by speakers including the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Finance, the Chair of the Indonesian Textile Association, UNIDO, PPBN and the Deputy Mayor of Solo. Where they delivered their presentation in accordance with their respective fields and capacities with the intention to be able to synergize towards a sustainable industry in Indonesia which is certainly expected to support the implementation of RECP in the Textile and Garment Industry.

Among Plenaries one and two there is Breakout Session where seminar participants are divided into 3 groups to attend more intensive discussions about sustainable textile and garment industry practices, Utilization of non-product output in the garment and textile industry within the framework of circular economy and funding.

At the end of the seminar some conclusions can be drawn including:

  • Industry participation in sustainability practices should be carried out, because the tools prepared are already available.
  • Associations need to take the message as a link in applying sustainability practices to the industry
  • Funding assistance is currently focused on products that have implemented sustainability practices
  • The government picks up and develops new service schemes that are guided by the circular economy and SDG

It is also hoped that future synergies will continue to occur and make the RECP program finally support the implementation of the 12 TPB / SDGs.


Seminar Nasional Yang Bertemakan : RECP Mendorong Industri Tekstil dan Garmen Indonesia dalam Pencapaian TPB/SDGs 12 berlangsung di Harris Hotel & Convention Solo Indonesia pada tanggal 5 Februari 2020.

Seminar ini bertujuan untuk Memungkinkan dan mendorong adanya pertukaran ide, masukan di antara pelaku usaha di industry tekstil dan garmen melalui diskusi yang mendalam mengenai best practice untuk memajukan industti tekstil dan garmen yang berkelanjutan, serta memfasilitasi pertukaran pengalaman dan solusi di antara pemangku kepentingan di industry tekstil dan garmen, pemerintah, asosiasi, dan pelaku usaha di dalam penerapan RECP untuk industry tekstil dan garmen yang berkelanjutan dalam memfasilitasi pengumpulan dan mendukung replikasi praktek praktek RECP di industri.

Dimana kemudian diharapkan selain dapat meningkatkan awareness RECP juga dapat meyakinkan peserta industri tekstil dan garmen atas penerapan RECP.

Seminar Nasional ini dihadiri oleh para pembicara diantaranya dari Kementrian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan, Kementrian Perindustrian, Kementrian Keuangan, Ketua Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia, UNIDO, PPBN serta Wakil Walikota Solo. Dimana mereka menyampaikan pemaparan sesuai dengan bidang da kapasitasnya masing masing denganmaksud agar dapat bersinergi menuju industry yang sustainable di Indonesia yang tentunya diharapkan dapat mendukung pelaksanaan RECP pada Industri Tekstil dan Garmen.

Diantara Plenary satu dan dua terdapat Breakout Session dimana peserta seminar dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok untuk mengikuti diskusi secara lebih intensif mengenai praktek industri  tekstil dan garmen yang berkelanjutan, Pemanfaatan non product output di industri garmen dan tekstil dalam kerangka circular economy serta pendanaan.

Diakhir kegiatan seminar beberapa kesimpulan dapat diambil diantaranya :

  • Keikutsertaan industry dalam praktek praktek sustainability sudah seharusnya dilaksanakan, karena tools tools yang disiapkan sudah tersedia.
  • Asosiasi perlu mengambil pesan sebagai penghubung penerapan praktek praktek sustainability ke industri
  • Bantuan pendanaan saat ini berfokus pada produk yang sudah menerapkan praktek sustainability
  • Pemerintah menjemput dan mengembangkan skema jasa baru yang berpedoman pada circular
  • economy dan SDG

Diharapkan pula kedepannya sinergi terus dapat terjadi dan menjadikan program RECP akhirnya dapat mensupport terlaksananya TPB/SDGs 12.
